Now strictly a wedding venue, this site was formerly the Crystal Rose Inn and the Rose Victorian Inn. The ghost of a 9-year-old girl named Alice haunts the tower; you may see her or hear her laughter. Alice is said to be a friendly spirit who loves cats, many of which have been known to sleep near the tower window.

  1. I know this place very well, You need to do your homework, the story about the girl happened on another property no where near this property. This is a beautiful place and you’re ruining the reputation of it with this false crap. Cease and desist ….. get it?

  2. Very familiar with this place. In middle school the bus would always drive by this house and in several occasions I would look out and see a girl in what seemed to be a white sleeping gown standing in front of the window looking out. At the time I dismissed it thinking nothing of it, but it always left me with a weird feeling. Wasn’t till much later that I found out that the place was haunted by a girl who had died there. After giving the description of what she looked like I couldn’t believe it, it was the same girl I saw all those times.

My friends and I live in this area and my boyfriend had told us about the “haunted” house and we decided to check it out. We all parked in a neighbornhood near it and walked up to it around 10pm. We were all staring in all the windows trying to figure out where the ghost would be because we didn’t do much research we just wanted to see a ghost haha, anyway my friend and I were starring at the top left window in the tower and saw a grey- whiteish faded figure in the window, my friend who had looked away at the sight of it, I kept looking and saw it slowly move to the left of the window and disappear. it caught me by completely surpise because I didn’t believe a figure I wanted to see it move and it did and I lost my breath and freaked out. my friends and I all walked back to my car and we drove to the front of the house to look one last time inside of our cars and as soon as I looked back up at that window she was right there and moved to the left again. Sketchy!

  4. Back in the 90’s I stayed at the place when it was a bed and breakfast . My ex husband and I stayed in the master bedroom upstairs. I remember feeling spooked when I started to use the first bathroom at the top of the stairs so I used the other bathroom further down the hall instead. Later that evening we explored the other bedrooms because we were the only guest brave enough to stay in the main house. We had no ideas about any ghost and never even entertained the idea. I remember the doorways leading to the attic that said for employee personnel only. That night I pushed up one of the windows that were the old type that stayed up till you pushed it back down. In the middle of the night it slammed shut hard and loud!
My husband took old instant Polaroid pictures of our room. We cought not only some orbs at night but also what appeared to be a reflection of a young girl wearing some kind of gown from an older period in an a mirror facing the bathroom door. We also had a picture taken separately of the door that had light anomalies. The third picture we took had a kid you not, a faded ghost figure of a cat near the side of the bed. Everyone I showed the photo to and asked what they thought it was said a cat. I need to dig up those photos. I’ve since misplaced them when I moved but they are amazing. I didn’t know about any stories of this girl and her cats until a friend told us later. I know there are many different stories of what happened to her but the story I was told was that she took a bath in very hot water. I took a bath in the free standing old style tub in that place and the water was indeed very hot! I had to add a lot of cold water to it. The house kitchen maid asked my husband if we had any interesting accurances. He didn’t know what she meant at the time but we know now.
I heard they don’t let people stay in the main house anymore. It’s a lovely place regardless and I wouldn’t worry about the girl but I’ll never know why she slammed that window.
