Visit this inn and you may catch a glimpse of a ghostly woman who walks past the lobby into the Dogwood Dining Room. The ghost also is said to use the ladies’ restroom, locking herself into a stall from the inside and then flushing the toilet. Some folks have described hearing disembodied whispers and screams, as well. Rumor has it that the mysterious lady was murdered in a room near the lobby.

  1. I was in the ladies room at the Shawnee Inn – the lowest level where the indoor pool is located. I was the only one in the ladies room at the time, I was in the stall and I heard a woman crying and whimpering. It was very sad sounding, and I felt sorry for her. What struck me was that I was the only on in the room when I entered and I did not hear anyone else enter the ladies room during my timeframe. After leaving the stall , I checked under the doors of the other stalls and no one was there, I also opened the doors and again no one was in the ladies room with me while I heard the woman crying.

  2. I’m currently staying in room 310. I hear an argument between a couple that once stayed here. All I hear right now is the woman yelling and crying and saying oh my god! My sister and I went to the hall way and listen between my room and room 309 and it’s in the walls between both rooms. I actually could here them from my bathroom which prompt me to roam the halls to find the exact location. I asked earlier in the day if this place was haunted and a worker told me yes. He gave me a few haunting experiences and one was a couple arguing on the 3rd floor. Well, here we are on the 3rd floor, it’s 12:19am and I hear them arguing. I can’t deal!!! Smh

I work as a Housekeeper at night here and I have seen a woman in the Lower Lobby watching me clean walls. About a week later, as I was exiting the ladies bathroom I heard a voice say, “Who do you say I am?” – No one was around, bathroom was empty! I was shocked to say the least. Who is this mysterious woman?

We were at the Shawn Inn twice during our week stay at Wyndham. We dined at the River Room An older man with white hair, a mustache and short beard sat with.grin on his face at one of the tables. We were sitting a the table near the window. He was at one of the middle tables on my right. I wonder if others have seen him too. The food was delicious, Sam was wonderful. The second time the waitress was too busy with other people. We were there almost two hours and asked that our dessert to go. The food again eas wonderful.
