Experts on the Miner’s Theatre say it has three ghosts: Two are brothers, one of whom one killed the other to become the sole owner of the theater. The third ghost, a young woman, is friendly but likes to play pranks like hiding the actors’ makeup or costumes.

  1. Worked at the Miners in 1986 when Dakin Williams was alive and i also worked getting the place set up for Loretta Lynn’s concert, Porter Wagoner, Stella Parton, Etc. Loretta Lynn’s mamnager had called owner at the time ( Jean Spurlock ) & told her what kind of Electrical they had to have to run Loretta’s concert. I think a lot of money was spent on paying an electrician to handle all the electrical Band equiptment. Probally paid more to the electrician as Jean Spurlock paid Loretta Lynn 16 Thousand Dollars for her concert. Jean Spurlock also had a Rest-room installed on stage right…In the changing room . We called it ” The Stars Room because that’s where they stayed until the curtains went up. I slept in that building for many a many nights but never seen a ghost. ~ Steve Luecke ~ I was there back in 1986 with all the Stars at the time..Fond memories ! 2. I know that the place is because even though I did not see anything at some point I did feel like I was being watched by something even though there was nothing there but it was when I did the crucible play there and nothing happen when we where rehearsing but in the girl’s bathroom it smelled like the 1960s or something like that and then there was another time that I was there for a play in 2015 for my cousin and he was saying how he got poked in the butt and then when I was in there to watch out in the audience I felt something poking me in the leg but like I was not injured nor anything like that but all I do know is that at some places in the theater is that it is giving the vibe of it being nice and eery like it is not creepy kind of thing but not necessarily scary nor anything like that it just gave off that kind of vibe it is a little difficult to under stand but still I think that it is because I was there a couple of times in my life being over there.
