Lindenwood Auditorium at Lindenwood University, built in 1924, is said to be haunted by a teacher who passed away before the play she was producing made it to the stage. According to witnesses, the friendly ghost likes to move the props around.

  1. I was in the last high school production at then Belleville West at that original campus. All Little Theatre season -the high school theater troupe out of Belleville West – we had no issues, a week before opening night we had technical difficulties, wardrobe and props went missing, and other issues during rehearsals. Then on opening night I was in a song and in that song was a heavy wood table with a wine glass in the middle of it. I’m watching the performance and I hear a loud crash. That wine glass is on the floor broken three feet from the table. I was the only one in that wing, no window was open and no one was around to bump it, even if they did, the glass would not have landed on the floor. No one was frightened in the wake of these issues we just knew Ms. Mueth was wanting to make herself known one last time to the students.
