Eisenhower Elementary School

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Eisenhower Elementary School

In recent years, a mysterious boy dressed in a baseball uniform is seen by custodians late at night in this school – possibly stirred up renovations begun in 2000. There are claims that audio recorders have picked up late night conversations between dead teachers and this little boy, who was killed outside of the school in a car crash. And some say they still smell the perfume of the school’s very first principal…

Unfortunately for ghost hunters, this activity seems to have died down once the renovations were completed.

  1. I went to this school when I first came to FL. I was in Kindergarten. I used to talk to a janitor, that, apparently, didn’t work there, yet I saw him everyday. The boy throws a baseball up in the air and tries to catch it, but ends up just standing around… I always thought he was stupid lol cause he couldn’t catch the ball.. And, there is a lady,.. but I don’t know if she’s the principle or a teacher, or someone not involved in the school, like someones mom. I had seen these people multiple times, but I never thought anything of it until, well.. I was told they weren’t there lol.. I went there 1986-1988/89

        • The first principal of Eisenhower was Mary Zeph. She died in the early 1990’s. Eisenhower opened as an open space school in 1970. Mary Zeph took great pride in the school, and was kind to all the staff and children. Mary was principal for only two years, and moved up in the county school system as head of elementary education. Mary Zeph always expressed an affinity for Eisenhower. She died right after her retirement in the early 1990’s. She had been seen by some staff members especially prior to the total renovation of the school in early 2001. Paul Argent was struck by a car in front of Eisenhower in 1975 and died a gruesome death. Paul loved baseball, and reports of him seen inside the school throwing his baseball hat in the air were common. None of these “hauntings” ever hurt anyone and are part of the school’s history.

  2. I have heard that the girls bathroom is haunted .and I think is true because once I went there and I saw scratches on the mirror that were no there and I also heard creepy noises when no one was there .I just to tell the people that go to Eisenhower to be carful when you go to the girls bathroom

  3. when I went for the first time one of my friend told me that the girls
bathroom was haunted, but I didn’t belive it at first but when I went to that bathroom I saw scratches on the mirror and heard creepy noises even though no one was there

  4. I went to that school for 4 years when I went to the girls bathroom I could here the doors move and the sink would turn on by itself

  5. I live near the school and went here from preschool to 5th grade. The bathrooms near the cafeteria are in fact haunted. the boys bathroom was always acting funny, the lights would flicker on and off and you could hear a boys giggling if you were really quiet.

  6. I went to Eisenhower from 3 to 5. I do not remember any haunting a within the school but I did live in Wellington which is to the north of the school. I remember seeing a women dressed in a white dress with dark long brown hair walking into the woods once

  7. I was attending this school when Paul was struck. We were told that it was a 16 year old girl with no drivers license who was driving away from a less severe wreck just before. Paul was popular and kind. If there is anything of him still there it is just like a memory playing over and over again. I truly believe that he is at rest.

  8. So interesting! I went to school here in the mid 80’s but never heard or saw anything. I don’t remember and talk of the school being haunted but who knows! Love reading these stories!

  9. I when to school there from 2004-2009. I remember going into the bathrooms near the cafeteria and it was always dark, there was only 2 lights working, damp, and very “energetic” for some reason, as like the atmosphere was very heavy.

  11. I went to school here from pre-k to 5th grade and still live near the school ever since. Im 26 now so i have witness the entire renovation. My experience has been similar to those here, when i was in 3rd grade i remember that i used the bathrooms that were next to the cafeteria (you know the one with the bricked wall) and what happened was as i was peeing I remember hearing the door of the stall next to me slam it didnt lock or anything it only slammed shut. I didnt think much of it until i heard the toilet flush. I was finishing up and I heard the toiled flush… nonstop. So being the kid i was i thought this was one of my classmates being silly so i looked down to see whos it was (hoping id see shoes that i could recognize) and there was no one there. My entire body got hot and i quickly LEFT and never went to using those bathrooms ever again.
