    1. A few years ago, my husband and I stayed in the room where Ghost Hunters had their paranormal experiences…(Sake room). We didn’t see anything but overnight, my husband had heard footsteps on the 3rd floor (it’s open for you to walk to but it’s only used for storage). No creepy vibes but glad we got to experience staying at a historic place. Be advised though, the Bar is loud and music will travel up…so you won’t be sleeping until things quiet down…

    2. I’ve investigated The Naples Hotel several times. One night my team and I (all males) were in the basement when one of the guys on my team asked “is there any one person here that you don’t like” we didn’t hear a response with our own ears, but when we played back the voice recorder, there was a very clear woman’s voice that replied “Topper”. We didn’t know who or what Topper was until we showed the Hotel manager and she kind of flipped out (in a good way) and told us that there was a caretaker in the place in the late 1800’s, who’s name was Jim, but everyone called him Topper. I’ve been a paranormal investigator for over 10 years and the EVPs I’ve gotten from that place are some of the best I’ve gotten anywhere. Definitely haunted.

    3. This place is alive with energy every time I go here, which is a couple times a year. You are never alone in the basement. Something in the basement bar likes to watch people play pool. Often it will move a chair to watch you play. We noticed this when we took a picture of the room upon arrival and when leaving. It gets curious enough to stand by the table, creating a cold spot. If you have long hair don’t be surprised if something lightly pulls it while your down there. Sometimes in the basement bathroom it feels like someone is patiently watching you.

I had the ‘excitement’ of one of these entities following us when we left the hotel last winter. It hitched a ride in the vehicle for a few miles down route 21. Pressing against the back of the drivers seat the whole time. With weight similar to carrying a heavy camping pack. Overcome with the feelings of dread and sadness. All the sudden it was gone and everything went back to normal. I have not made my pilgrimage back yet this year since that incident.
