Woodhaven Cemetery which is the oldest cemetery in East Coast South Florida
is within 200 yards of the Maritime Manor Vacation Rental. Although it’s not listed on vrbo or airbnb as haunted, The Maritime Manor is believed to host the first two police officers ever murdered in the line of duty in Broward County.

Marshall John Clifton has believed to be seen in the Maritime Manor
at night, slowly walking around the exterior perimeter ( maybe protecting ? ) The ghosts
always seem to be ” on guard.’ Last vacationers stated that they could see one of their badges reflecting light at night, even no lights we’re on in the area.

The Maritime Manor was originally a home built in 1926. Then it became the check-in office for
the first hotel / motels in early Dania; Originally, the Thunderbird Motel ( 1960’s ) and then became the
storage house for the American Maritime Officer’s training facility. A old guestbook with
Al Capone’s, Sammy Davis name, along with many others from the day, signed into the Thunderbird hotel and frequented this dwelling.

It’s worth checking out as the place is loaded with antiques from the 20’s on and the “vibe ” is surreal.
