  1. There was 13 steps that went down towards paradise lake rd into the woods and legend says you couldn’t walk down to the bottom. I heard a story of a guy bounced a ball down the steps and it vanished also you would freeze at the 12 th step.my friend and I went there and he asked about the cemetery to the neighbors, there are houses surrounding it, but nobody knew anything.the steps are no longer there.it was 1990 or so last time we were there.I felt no pressence except the feeling I was being watched.most graves were early 1900s but remember one from 1960s.it is very small place.

    • It was called “13 steps to hell”. I went there on Halloween when the stairs were still there and the door was cemented shut. Used to have to walk through creepy woods to get there as well.

      • Yep “13 steps to he’ll” I made it 5 before my heart started reaching I could feel the cold and looking up seemed further away than it was! I got out crying asked my friends to take me to a church! None were open so I say on the doorsteps waiting for the pastor to get there explained what happened and we prayed like the world was ending for almost 3 hours! What I felt can’t be described by words but happy to read the steps aren’t there anymore!

          Sorry about typos above!

  2. In 1981 a couple high school friends and I went to the cemetery late at night and it was a very clear spring night and we walked into the cemetery with flashlights and I remember very vividly the further we went in looking at the headstones the more misty and foggy it got until we eventually turned back and went back to the car we sat there for a while drinking beer and smoking a little weed when suddenly there was a big bang on the back of my car and when we looked to see if someone was there there was no sign of anyone we decided to get out of there quick started the car and started to drive out of there then the car died when I tried to restart it it wouldn’t start I tried over and over again to restart it for about five minutes when it finally started and we drove out of there and never went back it was a very surreal experience and quite scary.

  3. I was in a car accident today at maltby cemetery. My car lost power going into the turn as i come out of the turn now about 30 ft from the front of the pillars all of the sudden the car began jerking uncontrollably I was trying to control it but my car swerved around the corner. I then felt a presence in the car as though someone was with me…. Very eeery I then glance over for a second and see a figure of a woman. My eyes fly back to the road and my car is going off the side of the road. Now foggy images in front of my car.. I smashed into the tree slamming on my breaks. I freaking out searched for my phone that was supposed to be in my purse. I hear a woman talking. Scared the shit out of me. I began having a full blown anxiety attack. I called a tow truck. He asked me if I saw anything weird. Saying he has heard of accidents here for years all claiming to have seen something. Hands down scariest night of my life. After seeing this woman and watching my car uncontrolably fly towards trees I watched my life flash before my eyes. A woman’s cackling and my sons smiling face. (I was alone, driving home from work). I have endured a neck injury in this as my neck flew forward and samcked on my steering wheel and up again on the visor. Has anyone else had car accidents around here??

    • Nice story but i don’t believe it because the cemetery entrance has been blocked of and overgrown
The only way up here is to hike through the woods .. there is a house by there with a access roud to the cemetery. its Private

    • My friend lori long died from a car accident right there.they hit a tree and she flew through the window and hit the tree herself and died instantly…do u mind if I act…what did the woman look. Like..do u mind me asking?

  4. We used to go out there in carloads on Friday nights. It was 1974!
The road going up to the area is almost completely overgrown nowadays.
I just drove past there today.
You can just barely make out the entrance to the road.

  5. ugh! I’ve lived in Everett all my life and back in 1994 when I was 18 my friends and I had heard all the rumors but we never actually went out there. It really sucks too because its probably too late nowadays.

  6. Been there done that…

Worked with a guy who claimed that he was a devil worshiper. He said that DW’s met there every Halloween night.

He told me that the day before Halloween… So myself and 3 friends decided to go see if he was full of it. I went armed, as did my friends.

When we got there, there were indeed some wackos there who were standing around a fire. We watched from a distance, unseen, as they “sacrificed” several animals. Having grown tired of watching them and listening to them chant gibberish, i decided to fire several shots in the air… They all scattered like roaches. We went to their fire and doused it.

We stayed there for another 15 minutes just listening and heard nothing and saw nothing spooky.

Don’t believe all the Bs stories. Stories are bred from fear, that fear was based on the stories they’ve all been told. Your mind can play silly, scary tricks on you, especially if there is alcohol or drugs involved, such as in the first story at the top of this list… He and his friend had been drinking and smoking weed he said… Gee I wonder why you thought you heard something, could it be that you were high and drunk jackass?

  8. My friends Theressa and Lori were drink driving out there, I’m not sure who the driver was, an older make is all I know, Lori was 14 and Theressa was 16,they wrecked into a tree near the entrance, Lori was thrown from the back seat thru the windshield and again back into the backseat, Lori died right there. Theressa was in shock, fixed Lori’s hair and face as good as she cod, believe egg bing Lori was still alive, she walked miles and miles until she got to a house and knocked on the door, asking to use her phone, the lady who lived there invited her in and asked her big her friend was going to come in as we… Theressa was alone… She believes to this day that it was Lori who was with her. Theressa herself told me what happened, both she and Lori were great friends of mine and I miss Lori to this day. I wish I could trade spots with her because the world is at a loss without her in it, short if an angel. God is lucky to have her and I can’t wait to join her one day…

  9. I went there are a tough guy with some friends. As soon as we walked through the gate it got cold and felt like we were being watched. We walked around for a few minutes and looked down the 13 stairs. As we started to walk down a bright light above us came on and a women’s voice told us to leave. We walked, almost ran back to our car. As we took off my car accelerated without me touching the gas pedal. We were heading to the corner when I turned off the key before we wrecked in the corner. There are evil spirits there.

  10. Interestingly enough, I’ve had more paranormal occurrences at the relatively nearby Duvall Cemetery…but, the only time I ever caught an apparition on video (super 8) was on the way back down the path from the cemetery to Paradise Lake Road. (Which is the best way to access the cemetery without alarming the homeowners nearby (the cemetery is on private property).

  11. We used to go there in the early 80’s. I was from Redmond but had friends in Woodinville.
I didn’t make all the stairs…turned around to run up and everything went black. I walked kinda hunched over feeling my way. My friend turned his headlights cuz I guess I was screaming.
Other times I saw a woman down in the lower part. Would not go now.
Ignore rumours about the locals that settled there.
    It’s disrespectful.

I visited Maltby Cemetery back in 2018. From the cul-de-sac there is a chain-roped off driveway to it. Property owners are strict about keeping on people who try to go the easier route, so we took the path through the woods off Paradise Lake Rd. There is an iron gate marking the start. We got close, but my co-pilot wouldn’t go past the rusted frame of the old car. He kept hearing a woman talking about us. I heard nothing. However, playing back the footage (I was filming), there is not only a voice, there are legion of voices. Also, when we tried to go back the way we came, something was definitely pursuing us. The gimbal I was filming with kept getting hit by something. Below, if this site allows links, is the documentary I made. The incident at Maltby Cemetery is the climax of the 25 min video.

  13. Went there late night October 1995 with several friends. We were all 17 or 18 at the time. The first creepy thing that happened when I picked my friend up. She was renting a room from some old man. When he heard we were going to Maltby he exclaimed “you damn kids will never learn!” – Just like out of a horror flick!

No drugs nor alcohol consumed. Two things of interest did happen. Standing in-between the two iron gate pillars still standing, I extended one arm into the cemetery and one arm out. There was a significant difference in sensation in the part of my body inside the gate. After that, we saw a lantern coming toward us in the fog. It was coming from the housing development (we came up the back trail). After hunkering down we realized it was not a lantern, but an apparition in the shape of a woman’s figure. The most striking feature was her arm – it was ambulating back and forth as she walked, she also had noticeably long and flowing hair. I could not make out her face. . She most appeared as a time-lapse image as she walked, almost like image decay as you flip through old a slowed-down cartoon animation – Creepy AF! I pissed myself in disbelief, and we got the hell out of there. Never found or saw any steps.

If you had ever visited the cemetery when the steps were accessible, please DM me with the details or post them. Myself and many others would love to finally know where they existed in relation to the trail and cemetery.

  15. Using paper writer https://www.reviews.io/company-reviews/store/paperwriter.com was a great decision for me in a pinch. It took a lot of stress off my shoulders and helped me submit a quality essay. For any students considering such a service, I’d say it’s worth a try, especially if you’re overwhelmed or need to make sure your work is up to academic standards. Just be clear about your needs and stay involved in the process for the best outcome!
