Hotel Iola

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Hotel Iola

Although this 19th-century hotel building was a restaurant for a while during recent years, it is now reportly empty and up for sale. The place was said to be haunted, as evidenced by bar stools that rotated by themselves, shadowy forms appearing in long black dresses, and faces wearing Victorian-style collars materializing in the mirrors.

  1. I know it is! I used to work there! For instance, it was a busy DJ night, and I went upstairs thro the back to use the bathroom and the doors locked on me and no one could hear me scream bc of the music, i was up there at least 2 hrs

  2. When I was younger my cousin and I would walk over and eat dinner there late at night because my Aunt was a bartender there. Some nights when it was dead my cousin and I would be playing and goofing around and see a dark figure in the one corner which occasionally would scare us enough to run out and run home

  3. When I worked there a young boy was known to play havoc in the dining room undoing table settings and hiding things. There was also an older male said to be there. I swear after closing the bar a woman in a white dress would watch me leave. I’m not sure if she was making sure I got to my car okay or if she wanted to leave also. Her face so sad.
