The Inn at Turkey Hill

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  The Inn at Turkey Hill

Housed in an 1839 farmhouse, the inn is said to be haunted by an owner’s mother, who died in the building. Her perfume has been detected, and she is said to walk the place at night. The rocking chair on the porch would move as well. Folks who rented the place in the 1980s reported that the attic door wouldn’t stay closed, so they wedged a knife in to keep it shut. Every Monday morning, the knife was found placed just inside the attic door.

We stay at the inn last week. I had a hard time sleeping, thought the long drive maybe. During what I felt was a dream inside a dream, I dreamed I was awake in the room I was in, and heard footsteps in the room and heard “people ” talking. I woke and knew no one was there. In the morning I told my wife and she said she dreamed she woke to see “2” people by the door, open it and walk out shutting it behind. Two tall people, the women long blonde hair in a ponytail. The other a man.
