Hanging Grounds in Senoia

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Hanging Grounds in Senoia

This site, off of Padgett Road, near Starr’s Mill, once belonged to Old Man Padgett. Stories say that long ago, as an execution was taking place, the man broke loose and hanged Old Man Padgett from the railroad bridge nearby. Although the tracks are no longer used, phantom trains have been heard here, and Padgett’s ghost has been seen, said to be searching for his killer.

  1. This land is private property now and you can’t go there anymore. However, there is an old cemetery on the right before you get to the driveway to the property that is definitely worth checking out. Preferably in the daytime because there are some unhappy people buried there that don’t appreciate nighttime visitors.

I lived on Starrsmill Dr for several years and have never heard of this. From looking where it is marked on the map , there is a power line where the RR tracks used to be.
I used to walk down the power lines and walked all over that area day and night with nothing unusual ever happening.

  3. This story about my great grandfather is b’s that is not how he died. Before you tell stories like this about people you don’t know do some research. My family still lives in Senoia all you have to do is ask if this was true and you would have found out it is not a true story.

So, dont get all triggered and allat just chill a lil bit. -_-

  4. I live on lost creek court. Directly across from the cemetery. Seems fine to me. I ride my 4wheeler down the power lines and around the back of the cemetery as well. Day and night. I’ll post back if I see anything funny

  5. On Jan. 4 2021 I did a scientific investigation. I didn’t find any a emf or temperature changes. On my EVP, at the end, I heard a person or entity took three steps right next to me. I don’t know of any squirrels near by. So, in the end I would not call it paranormal but unexplained. I do plan on returning with more instruments. I would put a pic. up but I caught nothing. Although 2 of 5 pictures were out of focus and the camera was on a tripod.

  6. Made contact with a ghost twice, one by the name of Alexis, the other however never told me his name. He was a dead soldier from the civil war days. As for Alexis she kinda just hangs around occasionally and used the chain on my fan to dink them against the glass light fixtures, we kinda have made somewhat of a peace with one another and have been living in harmony sense. Now when she makes noises I just scold her and tell her to knock it off and usually she leaves me alone.

  7. I can confirm there is a haunted cemetery in Senoia, not sure of which one but about 10 years ago my mom and I went out and she was taking pictures of the woods and caught two full body ghost on camera. There is also a tree that’s fungus makes the perfect shape of an angel
