  1. Doing construction here….some of the guys report that things have fallen for no reason and things are moved seconds after they are set down. Others just report a sense of eerieness….

  2. I was a doctor there… Faucets would turn on for no reasons. Call lights go on with no one there.. And people sleeping in the family room has repeated visions of a baby girl ghost visiting them. ( there were toys in the family room)
I did ask our chaplain to do a prayer before the place closed. Hopefully they have peace now.
But if you ghost hunt there, maybe leave a toy.

  3. And a beer. The nurses believed the call lights started after a patient of ours died. He was dying and we let him have beer before he died, which made him happy.

  4. Ward Five East was the psychiatric unit in 1971. There was a Suicide of a patient named Ruth N. By jumping off the fire escape at the back of the ward. She died when she hit the concrete below. There were periodic cold spots and strange feelings of uneasiness experienced by people who stood at the spot where she died.

I was born there in October of 1951. My mother swore by her doctors and in fact I was born with my legs twisted and they immediately casted me for a year and half and with special shoes ’til 3 years old I am walking normally today. My mother loved her/our doctors there and was very grateful…me too!

My daughter was born at Grant Hospital in 1966. Our experience was wonderful. I am sorry to learn that the hospital is haunted and now closed.
