Frazier Hall, which includes the speech and theater departments, is said to be haunted by a ghost named Alex. Witnesses have seen phantom piano players and ghostly audience members and have heard footsteps in the 4th floor hall.

  1. Early Sept 1964, Freshman orientation night in the Frazier auditorium. Sat next to an odd fellow wearing bulky slacks with a sweater. The place was packed and hot, but the temperature didn’t seem to bother him. At one point, a speaker said to look at the person sitting to either side of us because they would drop out after their freshman year. When I turned to look at the individual, he was gone. No one nearby seemed to notice his absence. He may have indeed, unseated and left the auditorium. It certainly was a discrete departure.
