Forest Lawn - Kissing Statue

You are here Home  > Cemeteries >  Forest Lawn - Kissing Statue

Legend has it that at night at this cemetery, two statues awaken and kiss. So the story goes, if you shine car bright headlights on the man and woman statues from the driveway that runs behind them, they will come to life, turn around, and kiss. Another point of note is that singer The Big Bopper, famous for his tune “Chantilly Lace,” is buried here.

    1. My wife and I went out there for the first time back in 2014. It was a little after 10pm when we got there. It took about five minutes to find the statues. We pulled up and sat there with the headlights on for about a minute or so and nothing was happening. So, I turned the lights off then back on, nothing. Flashed the lights, nothing. Turned the brights on and still nothing. We kept saying to each other that we weren’t seeing anything. So with the lights still on, we sat for a few minutes just staring and then, we both were freaking out. Just thinking about it gives me chill bumps. What I saw was the woman’s head turning side to side in a kissing motion and I saw the man’s hand rubbing up and down her back. What my wife said she saw was them both in the kissing motion and then they stopped and the man turned and looked at us. Now, I know it’s a statue so clearly it’s a mind thing, but what we experienced was mind blowing and creepy.

to be honest its just people saying things or google saying things to make you think something is going to happen because when me and my best friend and my family and my boyfriend went nothing happened and we sat there for about 2 hours. so therefore i know its not real an we did this back in 2016.
