You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Farragut State Park - The Brig

This camping site occupies a former naval training center and the old military jail building is all that remains from its previous history. People claim that the brig is haunted and numerous reports of full-body apparitions as well as objects moving by themselves in the cells have been reported. No one knows who or what is haunting the jail, but those who have seen the apparition believe that it was wearing a uniform of some kind.

  1. I investigated the brig for 2 hours on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016. During this investigation I had something tap on a window when asked on four different occasions, saw a metal door rattle, had my EMF meter go off, had my flashlight turn on, & had a rock thrown towards me. I was the only person there. I posted my best findings on our Spokane Paranormal Society Facebook page.

  2. Hmm that sucks that you just lied because I live out here and you can’t get anywhere near the actual cells themselves because they are not opening them up for tourists until later this year. You’d have to be great friends with the owners in order to get in to them during your “investigation”.

  3. My sister and I were staying in a cabin, the “wild rose” on an overnight trip to the theme park. On my way to the restroom st dusk I seen a full body apparition of a man in a military uniform. He stood about 100 feet from where I was, just at the edge of the grass. He had a serious, and steady gaze in his eyes I will never forget. When I finally got the courage to come out of the bathroom, the same apparition was on the other side of the cabin area near the trail going down to the lake. Waiting with the same watching/guarding, I don’t belong here feeling.
