The Bates Motel

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  The Bates Motel

Though this motel plays shamelessly on name recognition (and don’t let the fluff fool you, it was named after the movie came out) it may be haunted. Visitors report a variety of activity in rooms 1 and 3, though whether the activity is genuine or a product of influence…well you’ll just have to pay the room rate and see for yourself.

  1. I have another location that is supposedly haunted but not on the radar. It is the Black Sheep Outlet Store off of highway 95. It is the old location of the actual Black Sheep store. I have a video of unexplained energy in front of a light. You can email me and I can give you additional info.

    • I lived in rooms #8 and #9 for almost 8 months in 1991. At that time, it was more of a cheap month to month motel. While I lived there the man renting #1 was beaten to death with a bat in Spokane. A few weeks later the guy who was the manager was arrested for murder when a drug deal went bad across town.

    • I’m super interested in hearing more about this. I live 5 mins away and this stuff is fascinating to learn more about. Can you email me more details by chance?

  2. Its name was changed to the Lighthouse motel a while back. I stayed there when I first moved to Idaho. I stayed in rooms 4, 8 and 10. There were many times I would put something down and soon thereafter I would find it somewhere else. I’ve also heard voices.

I had an app on my phone that would scan frequencies and voices would come across on that as well.
