Once a bed-and-breakfast, this site is reportedly no longer in business. The mansion was built in the 1700s for the mayor, John Brown. Tragedy struck when a branch broke in the front yard, killing the family’s young daughter. Reported sightings have included the girl swinging from the tree at night and the mother brushing her hair in the bedroom mirror. Folks say a ghostly woman in a rocker can be seen on the front porch, and slaves’ chains can be heard rattling in the basement.
