The DSO building is believed to be haunted by Russian pianist Ossip Gabrilowitsch, who became the musical director in 1917. Not only have visitors and employees heard unexplained footsteps and voices and felt cold spots, the apparition of Gabrilowitsch has been seen backstage and in the offices.

  1. I worked at the DSO from 2005 until 2015.
I co worker had an experience in paradise cafe. He saw the doorknob of the old office Turn. He opened the door to see who was in there . The room was empty. There was a back door, it had chairs piled against it.
I also had an experience. I was Taking a nap in the projection booth of the Music Box . I opened my eyes to see when someone walked in and go to the audio room. There is only one way in or out. I walked into the Audio room to see who was in there , It was empty.
