The restaurant called Crier in the Country was believed to be haunted by former owner Lydia Powell, who manifested as poltergeist activity. Residual hauntings featuring dinner parties also have been reported. The restaurant is now closed.

    1. The Crier in the country IS NOT HAUNTED I LIVED THERE UP TOP AND HAD NO HAUNTING EXPERIENCES iTS NOT TRUE. mY FAMILY OWNED IT LAST FOR THE LAST TEN YEARS OF OPPERATION IT IS NOT HAUNTED YES IT IS A LITTLE SPOOKY BUT NOT HAUNTED

    2. Worked there in the 70s (Devereaux’s Fox Crest Inn). Often was among those locking up at the end of the night. It sure wasn’t haunted back then.

    3. I went into Crier in the Country 2 or 3 times. The first time I went nothing really happened but the next time I caught an orb on my phone camera and a plate moved across the room. It could be a coincidence but I definitely feel something is there.
