In 1986, two airplanes collided, one of which crashed into a neighborhood killing 82 altogether. At night and early in the morning, apparitions can be seen walking around and there’s an overall eerie feeling as if you aren’t alone.

    1. I use to live on Holmes avenue as a child. The house was haunted for sure. The kitchen cabinets would open and plates would fly out. My parents room had drapes that would move with the windows closed.

    2. I live nearby and I do believe it MAY be haunted. I mean, close to one hundred people died unexpectedly and in a terrible manner. People died on the planes and in their homes when the planes came crashing down. Just my opinion.

    3. I live just 9 minutes away by walking. I first heard about the crash in high school and parts of the plane had landed in my elementary school. I’ve never noticed any haunting or unusual events.

    4. I live very close to this site. I was 11 when it happened, and remember that day very well. I was in my room and the windows started rattling very loud. I thought it was an earthquake. I do believe it is haunted. I get an eerie feeling whenever I’m near it. I thought since I know what happened, I would bring some people, who didn’t know. They both had paranormal experiences there.

    5. I’ve had an experience here. It was pretty crazy. The area for sure is electrifying. If you guys have any stories would you mind me using them for my podcast? It mainly based on community ghost hauntings. Thank you for reminding me of my experience here! Another story to share =) Thank you!

    6. I was driving down Studebaker Rd at 2am with two of my friends when I saw two girls walking right on side walk where Liberty Park is located. It was extremely weird they were holding hands looking down had long hair with white dresses. As, I was going to say something one of my friends said ” okay that’s was F’en weird ” at that moment I knew I wasn’t seeing things as we all saw them. I busted a U turn right away so we can check again it literally took 3 seconds and they were gone???… Please anyone comment if you’ve seen this before.

    7. My mom and I were driving home from Cypress at night and I thought there was someone out of the corner of my eye next to a tree waiting to cross the street that was across from the school. When we passed the tree, I don’t know why I felt complete to look in the passenger rear view mirror to see if he crossed, but I did not see anyone standing there anymore nor crossing the street. I asked my mom, “Wasn’t there someone waiting to cross the street?” My mom said, “Oh, you saw that, too?” She told me she also thought a man was going to cross the street, so she slightly stepped on her brakes to slow down a little – something I totally did not notice. She didn’t think I noticed because I actually had my attention on something else. My mom has that “third eye.” If you asked me how the person looked like, it appeared to be in dark clothing, like a suit that pilots would wear. Whatever or whoever it was was, it was facing into the direction of the school.

The other time I saw something was during broad daylight. Again, It was the route turning into 183rd coming from Marquardt. I saw a black shadow run really fast across the elementary school grass area. The same area where the small plane crashed.

I don’t usually go down that part of 183rd even before the crash happened But after those incidents, I don’t prefer to use that route. I don’t expect or go looking for those kind of “encounters”, but they just happen. So if you ask me, I do believe that some of those who perished that fateful day might still be “lingering” around the area wondering what happened to themselves.
