Built in 1830, the inn is said to be the site of the murder of a former innkeeper, Isabel Robertson, and her invalid daughter Belle. At least one of them is said to haunt the place. Some say Belle’s bell, which she used to call for help, can be heard ringing from her room. Also, objects move and lights turn on and off by themselves. The Evangeline Room is said to be the most haunted.

Stayed here several years ago and immediately felt the presence of a sad and lonely young lady. Not scary at all. I had no prior knowledge about this place. Presence was just very clear. Owners showed me an aura photo or st like that, taken by professional ghost busters.
I can present a spirit magic act occasionally there to enhance interest…..
My husband and I own the house now and are not currently using it as a bed and breakfast but we love to hear the stories from people who have stayed here and “felt a presence” and comparing them to our own. We are considering opening the upstairs rooms again this fall as an Air B&B.
