Barbosa's Castillo

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  Barbosa's Castillo

A Mexican restaurant specialising in authentic cuisine is housed inside this 1891 historic castle, which was formerly owned by a J.B Moss and his family. Staff nowadays working at the establishment have reported various instances of poltergeist activity, but little else is known about the hauntings and their origin.

  1. I have a paranormal group getting together soon and was wondering if could investigate that location. We will keep you informed while we get our equipment together. Not fully equipped yet

  2. We were there, probably 3 years ago, stayed at a bed and breakfast near there. I believe itwas either a Sat or Sun morning; we went in to have lunch. I think we were the first customers of the day, at any rate, we were the only customers in the ddining room. There is a small servers station just off the dining room, and at the time, there was no-one in there. There was a coffee maker up on a shelf, probably 20 ft away from our table. All the sudden, one of the pots flew off the shelf, and landed like 6 feet into the room. It didn’t just fall straight down. We were like,”holy CRAP!.” di that just happen? The server cleaned up the mess, and finally came to our table again and I told her that was the craziest thing I’d ever seen. She said, “that stuff happens all the time around here. We get so damned tired of it!” Of course we thought a lot about it since, and I tried to rationalize it like it was some theatrics, or whatever, but considering we were the only ones there, I dont think they would break a coffee pot just to freak us out.
