I arrived very late at night, around 3am from my flight and had a really scary experience where I fell asleep for about 30 min to be woken up to noises in the bathroom. Now there was no window in the bathroom, so I was a bit puzzled and turned on the lights in my room, only to see the shower curtains moving (again, no wind) and toilet flushing on its own. I’m usually pretty good at denial, so I blamed it on being sleepy and tried to ignore, with the movement and noises getting louder (that, and I was too scare frozen to even move). I spent the rest of the few hours convincing myself maybe it was a mouse, and finally had to admit to myself there might be something there when daylight broke, and everything stopped and fell dead quiet.
I grabbed my stuff and bolted out of the room!
