  1. I am related to the people that own that section of the creek and I live there in Bennet. I haven’t heard of any ghost train and there were really only two passengers that passed. The two men were the Bennet brothers. The real name of Bennet was Kiowa, but after the brothers died the wives renamed the town Bennet. Also, if you go under the bridge and ask for knocks like one knock means yes and to means no the Bennet brothers will answer. Later after the accident, officials searched the whole creek fro the train but all the found was a coal shovel and a hat. It makes since that the train disappeared because the creek was quick sand at the time. I’ve personally seen Native Americans and a lady in white.

  2. I live on the east outskirts of Aurora and hear a train, not a semi, going down Smoky Hill Rd every night around 915 pm and I don’t believe there are any trains on the east side of Aurora

  3. There was a train wreck between burg and byers just around the bend headed towards byers. It happened tight before the house on the right side of 36. I don’t remember what year it was but was a very big and nasty wreck. I drove by tight after it happened.

  4. I live in the new Community of Skyview behind the train tracks of Kiowa Creek. My boyfriend, myself, & a couple neighbors have witnessed the sound of people screaming. I never believed my neighbors until I heard it myself. & the sound comes from the train tracks a couple feet away from Skyview. Very scary experience. Happens often after 12am.
