  2. A few years ago we stayed overnight in the red lion. In the early hours of the morning our suitcase crashed to the floor sounded if though it was pushed with force. The room next to us within seconds sounded the same if though something crashed in the there room.
The next morning we overheard the couple at breakfast talking about their suitcase upside down on the floor and woke them up.
To be honest all night I personally felt something was watching us. I didn’t know until now this place was haunted Hence the late comment on this place.

  3. Red Lion, Castle Eaton. Pretty sure it was this pub, apologies to them if I’ve got mixed up – stayed about 14 years ago. They had a long room in the attic for accommodation. It was open to a landing which led to narrow stairs which wound to a wooden door with a gate type latch. I saw a woman in a pink blouse move from the landing towards the stairs and expected to hear the clunk of the latch. It didn’t happen. I looked on the landing and down the stairs and there was nobody there. When I thought about it, the woman had been sort of blurry – it’s the only way I can describe it. I asked in the morning if it was haunted and the landlady grinned and said yes.
