The Old Bank

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  The Old Bank

These days the “Old Bank” is just a boarded up building (though in 2012 several murals were added to make it look a bit nicer), but back in the 1920s it was the pride of the town. Local legend has it that a member of the Ashley Gang (a notorious group of bank robbers) was buried in the old safe in the back. Some locals swear they get eerie feelings when walking past the place.

    1. I used to run the old Citgo at 510 NE Park ST. , Used to go by it at night to go to Kahootz the green bar, I call it, every time I went by the place, I would have strange feelings of some one there and the hair on my neck and arms would stand up. Also you could hear low muffled screams around 2:00 in the morning if going by on foot.
