I stayed there in 2001, I can’t explain why but my light and tv was on, then suddenly my room became so cold, and for absolutely no reason I became petrified. I hid under my blankets for 6 hours and rationalized why I was hiding. But I could sense something in the room with me. My dad at the time ran the pub, and after my experience I ran to his house. At which point he said “oh I thought it was the room next to yours that was haunted” I said “what?” He then told me while in the conference room upstairs he was facing the wall getting coffee ready etc. he turned around and all the chairs had been pulled against the wall, from under the table. He said “I have never left a room so fast in my life” he then told me the police woke him up to check the bar because they had seen a woman sitting in the window. He had to go unlock the bar to show the two police officers that it was completely secure, but the two officers were astounded because they had seen the woman with their own eyes. He told me many people had experiences in the rooms, complaints of the bed being moved, glasses being thrown. My first response was “and you let me stay there?” He said “well if I had told you you wouldn’t have stayed” so true!!! This place is haunted.

  2. spiritworlduk. now spiritwatch.uk . After a year of continued investigations and while refurbishment was underway I can declare there is no sign of Peter the great. There was recordings to show room 3 was very active. The bar area has a large presence of what we know as a blacksmith, and several other rooms were active .The stairs to the first floor is very active by parents with a child who at the time would knock on the managers door. And of course the cellar has it’s own tale to tell. This place will continue to change as the years roll by and will always have some very unusual reports. Must return sometime to see the changes.
    Alan.
