The Green Lantern Inn

You are here Home  > Restaurants and Bars >  The Green Lantern Inn

Now being used a banquet hall for weddings and other receptions, if you are looking for an overnight stay, this “Inn” has no accommodations. There is however a public restaurant on site if you are hoping to catch some ghostly activity. Reportedly haunted by the original owner, Henry Deland.

  1. My uncle owned and ran the restaurant / bar for many years. I worked there for 3 years as a teen. It once did rent a few rooms. I slept in room 7 at the end of the second floor hall at the top of the stairs to the kitchen for many weekends. No ghosts were seen by me.

Good story though. The attic would be a perfect place for ghosts. There is a large ballroom with four rooms and an old kitchen up there. Then there is a staircase leading up to the tower and onto the tin covered roof. I even slept in the attic ballroom several times.

Here’s an even better story. As of January 2014 the restaurant went bankrupt (not my uncle) and the house was purchased to be used as a funeral home.

one night when I was walking past the house I noticed a full figure in the cupola I was not sure if it was a man or a woman but they were holding a candle. They looked like they were wearing either a mans nightgown or a woman in a dress. I saw this on a couple of occasions. There was no way light could get up there due to the fact that there is the church across the street.
