Old Train Depot

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  Old Train Depot

Many ghost websites make this ludicrous claim about the Train Depot: “It is said that if you go in there, no matter where you go, you always come back to the spot where you came in. ” What does that even mean? How is that evidence of a haunting? Could it possibly be, oh, I don’t know … that most people enter and exit through the same door because that’s the closest exit to where their car is parked? It’s fun to be scared and give ourselves a good fright, but really people, let’s use a little common sense lest we all end up wearing tinfoil hats and hoarding cats.

I dont think this place was ever haunted, it has now been renovated and turned into a resturant called the depot ,i used to work there never experienced any strange activity

  2. I do know many years ago ( in the early 1970s if i’m not mistaken ) right before the depot discontinued the passenger train service there was a brutal crime that took place there . At that time there was a bar located in the depot . One night there was this man and woman sitting at the bar having a drink . She was a married woman , but not to the guy she was drinking with . They say a few moments later a man walks in with some kinda long blade – walks up to the guy she’s drinking with and swings it at him decapitating his head . The killer turned out to be her husband . I was told this by a Opelika native much much older than me
