This historic district of Louisville is said to be one of the largest preservation districts and Victorian neighborhoods in the country. It’s no wonder that spirits lingering beyond the grave find it an attractive place to reside! There are reportedly many ghost tours and haunted houses here, and locals may tell you of dozens of ghost stories. Some have dubbed Old Louisville America’s Most Haunted Neighborhood.

My mother has told me this story of when she was still a college student and living on one of the floors of an Old Louisville home. She had been practicing piano one day when her old cat was sitting on the top of the piano. She looked up at the cat and the cat was curving her head to match something like a hand was petting her head. Not extremely paranormal, but it’s an experience of my mother’s.
