The 1903 New Bedford Armory, featured on an episode of TV’s Ghost Hunters, is said to be haunted. In a room where a sergeant hanged himself, paranormalists saw a strange mist that ran right through one of them.

  1. I grew up two houses up the street from the armory. i played over there all the time. Never experienced anything weird. Always heard about the guy that hung himself there. His spirit must still be there.

I grew a block away and as kids we would sneak on the slate roof and use it as a slide every time we would get caught we would ask them if it was the man in the army uniform in the top window that told on us they would say that part of the building had been closed for 50 years when the police would take me home I would tell my dad about the ghost in the window he’d say stop telling stories to get out of trouble and punish me then 20 years later it was on a ghost hunter TV show told you so dad
