McMillion Hotel - Vivian Hotel

You are here Home  > Historical Buildings >  McMillion Hotel - Vivian Hotel

Originally the Vivian Hotel and often misspelled as McMillan Hotel, this establishment was closed in 2003 and demolished in 2007. The hotel, built in 1887, was said to be haunted by its original owner, who had committed suicide in Room 21. If his ghost remained here, he was probably not alone: Reports say there had been 18 deaths here between 1970 and 2003 when the hotel closed. Folks have reported, among other strange things, seeing black shadow figures and being pushed by unseen hands.

  1. I used to hang out at this place and knew the last owner. Ive had many things happen to me and friends while there or staying in rooms in the hotel. There was a man who wear a cowboy hat and boots with a with shirt n jeans we knew him as Ed. One time i saw him walk up the second flight of stairs and up to third floor restroom. I thought he was a new person staying in one of the room until i watched him walk into the bathroom only to walk in after door didn’t shut and i looked in the whole room and shower as the third floor was no longer in use at the time and i didnt find anyone in there. There were times u could hear someone knock and asked the owner if anyone had come through on the camera and he said no one did. There were also times things would be moved or at night some people heard gunshots. The basement was also said to be haunted. I spend a lot of time in this place and have seen and heard first hand how haunted this place was.

  2. I lived there for a short time when I was 18. My door was always unlocked even if I had just locked it. My skin would crawl when I turned out the lights and honestly always feel someone was in my room
