We stayed at the hotel last weekend and when we awoke on Friday morning we simintaniously saw the TV flash on with a symbol and then off again without either of us touching the television (the remote was on the other side of the room). Strange we thought and then on Saturday morning as my husband sat at the end of the bed putting his shoes on, the dresser drawer just rolled open without being touched. We stayed in room 246.

  2. My stay at the hotel was crazy I am 13 years old and I stayed there 3 days ago and I saw the woman who was murdered at the “hooker house” before it was a hotel and the security guard asked my dad how he was with ghosts and later that night my mom saw the woman in the closet but she didn’t tell us about it bc I have a 7 year old sister with us and my parents didn’t tell us it was haunted til the day after and later that night I opened the closet too and the woman was there and I have some pictures that show a woman on the stair case near the room before u go in.

  3. I read tha disclaimer on dis website but my experience it true!!! Im a black female & we aint gone lie bout no ghost! I had stayed @ Maison St. Charles b4 w/ my fiancee who is frm NO & im frm Dallas Tx…we have since broke up. I was bk in NO on 12/8/15-12/14/15, on unofficial business,1st two night i booked @ Maison St Charles! 1st thing in rm 143 no wifi even tho i was connected & one cell bar even tho i hv Sprint! I immediatly asked to b moved… Staff would not! So the i went on & eventually went to sleep for the evening! I then had a dream of a white woman about early 30’s long brown hair in a white night gown walking in the very court yard where the hotel was! She did not harm or interact wit me but spooked da hell outta me!!! The next morning i asked to b move again & staff did not want to for some reason… But i demanded & after being worn down with their excuse of y they cant move me here and y they cant move me there i jus said well move me next door anywhere but the room i stayed in last night, then i told the manager what happened & she rold me the history of the house , so i decided i was not goin to sleep the 2nd night & soon as i doze off the tv made a noise loud enuff to wake me up & the screen was blue & said ” no siginal” my heart was racing!!! I was jus like oh well im not leavin so who evee u r u jus b. To wait till i check out! Verry spooky place!!!

  4. During Jazz Fest week in New Orleans my family and I stayed in room 126 on Saturday April 23, 2016. We didn’t know anything about the history or looked into the hotel before check in. We did a last minute trip to the city and looked everywhere for an affordable place with vacancy. After we settled in we went to sleep and my son and husband stay on the bed. Air conditioner off and it felt like it was 30 degrees in there. We were comfortable there though. We loved the setting of the room and the suite, but noticed different things happening. While video taping our stay we seen a light flicker and a chandelier sway. Then we took pictures of us on the bed. Well, we attempted several times to take a decent picture and they all came out blurry or fuzzy. You can tell the pictures I have posted that my husband is very fuzzed and my son sort of too. At the bottom looks like we captured a spirit. At that time I went to go check the door because we heard a knock after I set the timer on our camera. We did not see the picture until we came home and look through all the photos. At night I stayed on the sofa so I can work on a project on my laptop and my hubby and son slept on the bed. They both said the bed felt uncomfortable and eerie feeling. My kid said to us “she said no more pics mama”. That is when we really freaked out and then the curtain flew open a second and slowly closed.

I don’t know if we will stay there again, not because of the haunting, but in case we have a bigger deal or something in the center of New Orleans come up. We did like the morning food and the amenities. And enjoyed out time there.

  5. We stayed at the Maison hotel for a weeding the end of January 2017. What a great hotel, but I definitely had three weird encounters. We stayed in room 240 I believe. While sleeping I felt a presence standing over me. I thought it was my sister and I believed she was disorientated and maybe couldn’t find the bathroom. I told her the bathroom was the other way, but when I gained some clarity nobody was there and my adult sister was zonked in the bed .
The next night we were at a grooms dinner in the conference room on the premise. The party was winding down and I was talking to a couple family members and we were located by a table that had the buffet. A females voice said “Excuse me”, in my left ear and I immediately turned to acknowledge it, as I thought it was a banquet worker. Nothing. Nobody was there but my uncle beside me heard it and my sister stated she new something happened by the way I broke from the conversation and turned to see what was behind me. My puzzled face also was a clue that something had occurred.
The last night I was there, I went to our room around midnight and my sister was talking outside with family. I decided to call my wife and check in. While on the phone with her, my sisters suitcase was pushed off the chair or desk and landed flat on the floor. It made a loud noise and my wife on the other end of the phone asked “what was that”? I didn’t see it but I knew what it was. It had to be pushed with great force as it landed flat and didn’t tumble. The suitcase was unzipped and it nothing fell out.
My cousin and his wife heard footsteps in their suite and the tv had a white glow making crazy shapes until they grabbed the remote and turned the tv on.
I never felt uncomfortable with any of the experiences and it seemed whatever it was had a pleasant demeanor and didn’t feel evil at all.
I was a skeptical believer prior to my stay at the Maison St. Charles, but I’m not skeptical of the paranormal anymore. I canT say for certainty what was standing over me, if anything, but the other two experiences were clear and unexplainable. I would stay there again.

  6. Stayed here in room 140 for 2 nights on March 11th and 12th 2017 with my mother and 10 year old daughter. We had a nice normal night sleep on the first night, the 2nd night something happened that scared my daughter. My mother and daughter slept on the bed and I slept on the couch fold out bed. The 2nd night we had all just went to bed and within about 5 minutes of turning the lights out my daughter called me over to the bed, I went over thinking she wanted me to tuck her in, massage her back or something to help her sleep which she often does, but she asked if I would sleep with them in the bed, so I said ok, grabbed my pillow and layed down next to my daughter, who was in the middle. My mom asked if she got scared and my daughter nodded her head yes and in a quiet voice said yes. She went to sleep quickly once I crawled into bed next to her. The next morning I asked her what scared her, she said that right when she laid into bed and stretched her leg out that she felt a hand push down on the covers next to her foot! I asked if she thought maybe it was just the covers ‘settling’ and she said ‘No dad, I know it was a hand’. My daughter doesn’t have imaginary friends and is pretty mellow, so if she says it happened then I believe it happened. So ….sleep tight all!

  8. My husband and I stayed in Room 126 for the Bayou Classics and from the moment we walked in the room an uneasy feeling came over us. We didn’t have any out right things happen to us but we certainly felt a presence of something or someone in the room. We sleep the one night we stayed with all lights on in every room, nice staff but we will not stay again. Once we were leaving we asked one of the staff about the room and he told us a very interesting story….one that solidified the presence that we felt.

  9. I have stayed at this hotel twice and we had experiences both times. I don’t remember the room number. If you step out of the elevator and turn to face the left then walk forward, it was the 2nd room on the right. You could see the pool from the hotel doorway. The first time we stayed I bought my daughter and her best friend. They were in high school. We toured NOLA and had a great time. The first night we just went to eat and the girls swam in the pool because we were tired from the trip. The girls showered and got ready for bed. They shared one bed and I was in the other. Like all teenagers, they had their cell phones. Each plugged in her phone to charge for the night. The phones were on the night stands on either side of the bed.

The next morning when the girls started to get dressed so we could go eat breakfast, Katie (my daughter’s friend) could not find her socks and Tiffany (my daughter) could only find one sock. They were all there the night before because I picked the clothes up off the floor and folded them in neat piles on the table for them. I KNOW all 4 socks were there. But now 3 were missing. Literally gone….vanished. I told them to just put their sandals on and let’s go. Then, neither girl could find their phones. Both iPhones were missing. Now we tore that room apart. Both phones were under the beds. One under their bed and one under my bed. AND the batteries were almost dead (drained) and their were symbol garbage texts messages sent to several of their friends. I guess the ghost was trying to play with the phones to communicate. We never fond the socks!

Spent the day touring NOLA….Aquarium, Insectarium, Jackson Square, lunch and dinner, and even took in a haunted ghost walking tour (OH LORD don’t even get me started on that one) We got back to the hotel late. As soon as I opened the door, the SMELL was horrid (like dead rat combined with grandpa’s cigar) We all gagged. The girls went to the pool to just soak their feet while I went to the front desk. It was then that I was told about the ghost and haunted room. “Just leave the door opened for a few minutes. It will go away” Sure OK.not creepy at all.

Called the girls back upstairs to get ready for bed and yep the smell was gone! Katie showered first. Then, my daughter. While sitting on the side of the tub shaving her leg, my daughter yells for me to come in. I jump out of the chair to run to the bathroom “Baby girl what’s wrong” She says just come in. I open the door and she whispers to me “Don’t tell Katie but ummmmm Mom I think the room is haunted.” Yes that is what the front desk lady told me when I went down. She says to me “OK can you make him leave. I’m naked and he was touching my back”. I immediately came in the bathroom and closed the door behind me. I started talking out loud like hoping the spirit could here me. I told it that he or she was welcome to go into the other room but that being in here with naked young girls was NOT appropriate. You need to leave this bathroom now.

We went to sleep. The next morning we packed everything up and the 4 sock was now missing. I guess the ghost wasn’t happy about being asked to leave the bathroom. The phones were left alone that night……..but my laptop was a different story. The icons on the desktop were all rearranged and it had been moved from the table to the floor. There is NO WAY a full sized Macbook Pro walked itself of the table. HAHAHAHA

    ____________________________________________________________________________

A year later my daughter and I went back to NOLA for the weekend. It was a queen’s trip for some of the state beauty queens. We all met up there. We requested the same room. The desk lady asked why and we told her. She laughed and said I can show you the basket of socks if you remember what they looked like. Apparently, there is a female ghost that REALLY likes the special colored ones or the unusual looking ones. **the girls had neon no peak booties** The hotel staff will find random socks just laying around because they get “dropped” by the spirit.

She gave us the same room. The male spirit came to visit us as we were unloading the car. We had big boxes filled with stuff for all of the queens that were coming. The boxes were heavy. He was a gentleman and opened the door for us. MORE than once. When we put the first boxes down on the bed to go get the rest of them. The boxes had been opened when we returned. Nothing was missing but stuff was moved around, kinda like the ghost was being nosey to see what was inside.

We ran to the local Walmart and bought a package of 10 Wild Colored socks. Got back to the hotel and laid them all out on the long table. My daughter wrote a note. “Thanks for being nice to us and letting us share your room for the weekend. We bought these just for you. Take as many as you like. Love Tiffany” Then, we left for the day to go NOLA bound. That night when we got back, 4 were missing and the rest were not in a neat line like we left them. They were all jumbled up like someone had played with them.
