My family stayed here for a week back in 2006, and it was terrifying. We had many photo anomalies, lights turning on and off with no one there. footsteps, negative feelings, cold drafts in closed rooms. The worst part was that my wife and I were plagues by night terrors & paralysis for 3 nights. We slept on the couch downstairs for the rest of our stay.
There is an abandoned stone staircase in the main house (original abby) that leads downwards. Its been filled in with stones, but the vibe I got from those stairs was pure evil. Its also right next to the original abby well that had a plaque stating it was built in the 1400s.
This place is creepy as it gets. My dads wedding ring was also somehow stolen off his finger while we were there. We turned the room upside down but never found it.
I lived there and slept in the great hall. Spooky, yes, haunted, no.
We stayed in one of the little cottages. Last night whilst eating a black shape came from behind the kitchen wall almost on the floor. That night I couldn’t sleep, lots of strange noises and heavy feeling.
