A monk is said to be very active with the staff and visitors, sometimes even being mistaken for a living person. Most of the activity here occurs in the Geraldine and Elizabeth rooms; objects shake and rattle.

  1. My wife and I stayed at Kinnitty Castle in 2014. While we were there, I went downstairs to the Dungeon bar, which was closed at the time, and I was the only one downstairs. I sat for about 15 minutes alone in the dark and asked if there was anyone there with me. I received no responses. Later that evening while back upstairs, I clearly saw a shadow person dart quickly through one of the front rooms on the ground floor, and it appeared to move directly onto a wall, where it disappeared. It is the first time I’ve ever had an experience like that. I thought it was very cool.
