  1. My Son was transferred to Jefferson CI a few months ago, when he was transferred to a dormitory for warehouse workers in the every back of the Prison that is when the inmates and himself started having strange sightings of a ghostly figure with long hair..they believe she is female..every-night things happen inside those walls..pulling covers off the beds, touching the inmates..my son had his water bottle tossed arouse the room..and last night something shoved his earbuds deeper in his ear..lots of stories coming from that building. One inmate begged to be removed..its defiantly haunted.

I was an Officer here in the late 90’s and early 00’s, this place is extremely creepy at night. The Classification wing is said to be haunted by the spirits of female inmates that died on a transport. Night shift officers that are sensitive to the paranormal usually avoid that hallway completely. Inmates that are transferred to other facilities or released are classified out in this unit. I believe these inmates are haunting the halls awaiting their classification interview to be processed out of prison before moving on to the other side.
One of the dorms and the north end of the rec yard was built on top of an indian burial ground (confirmed during construction) this is probably why inmates are visited by spirits at night. One of my mentors had at least one experience that caused her to refuse to be assigned that post overnight ever again.
