    My wife and I stayed here on March ‎16, ‎2015 in the Rose suite which was supposed to have had the most occurrences of activity. The room was very beautiful (photo is attached). Unfortunately we didn't witness any activity. That being said it was still a great place to stay and will be going back in the future.

    Me and my now fiancee (witch I purposed on the night we stayed) we were talking wedding plans and had the bathroom door partially closed, we had the jacuzzi on getting ready to get in and enjoy it when we suddenly started hearing water splash in the bathroom. Upon further investigation of the noise we got uo and went into the bath room to find water jetting out of the tub and onto the floor and walls.. at first I couldn't get the tub to shut off and finally after a few mins clicking the power button it shut off.. I don't wanna say it's scary.. but it sent a chill up my spin.. it had been running for 25 mins And was perfectly fine.. and now all of a sudden water was everywhere.

    I attended a beautiful rehearsal dinner and wedding here in the summer a few years ago. Before the rehearsal dinner, a few of us went inside with the bride-to-be to check out the reception area, which had been set up for the next day's festivities. While we were inside admiring the candy table, the lights above us began to repeatedly blink off and on multiple times accompanied by a buzzing noise - like an electrical short. This kept up for about 10 minutes and was disruptive enough for us to vocally express our concern about an electrical malfunction ruining the wedding reception the next day. We were, however, assured by staff that the resident ghost was just acting up and that all would be well the next day. And it was - we all celebrated from early afternoon until late in the evening without one flicker.

    Maybe about 30 years ago I lived there, it was privately owned. There is no doubt that this mansion is haunted. Long ago before there were actually funeral homes when a family member would pass away the visitation and services were held in this home. When I lived there with 2 friends it was very common to see things move..hear strange sounds coming from the 3rd floor which didn't exist...feel something pass by you when there was nothing there...many times while attempting to climb the long stairway to the second floor something would hold me back not allowing me to continue. Even outside...while pumping water from the well I could feel the presents. We all experienced these strange events.

    that sounds very haunted as hotels can very often be. your "witch" is which of course and I hope you proposed instead of purposed your girlfriend. lol. Sorry you were interrupted but maybe the ghost knew you two weren't married??? Old fashioned ghost?
