Historic Hotel Greybull

You are here Home  > Hotels and Inns >  Historic Hotel Greybull

The 1914 hotel was originally the state bank for the township, but it went under during the Great Depression and lay empty for a few years. In 1927, the building was converted to a hotel, which was used as a front for a speakeasy and a brothel. Nowadays, the current hotel and restaurant retains many of its original features, including the bank vault, a number of tunnels to elude authorities and a horde of ghost stories associated with the past. It is estimated that six or more spirits haunt the premises, but the owners insist that they are friendly and mean no harm.

  1. I did a drawing of an elderly woman ghost I observed on the second floor. She wore fuzzy slippers and was heading toward a chair with her tea. Then…transparent and gone. I will shate my drawing upon private request.

    • I would love to see your drawing. My boss whom passed away 2 yrs ago believes her mother haunts this hotel as she once owned it and lived on site. She also grew up around the hotel and claimed to know of it’s paranormal origin. She was a sensitive as am i. Her and I shared a special connection and I also worked for her here in Worden at her Saloon & Eatery for 16 yrs. trevor.schwartz1974@gmail.com

  2. I was sleeping alone in the hotel, I think it was Room 22. I was on my right side about to drift off and felt the covers tug up towards my chin (like being tucked in) and then felt a hand pass over my forehead and cheek. It was very comforting.
