Originally built in 1926 as the Strand Theatre, it was acquired by the city of Jonesboro in the late 1970s and renamed the Forum Theatre. It is said to be haunted by a mischievous ghost named Charlie.

  1. This place, I have done plays there, seen plays there, done theatre camp there, and it is haunted. I didn’t believe in ghosts, I was a man of science, logic, reason, but then Charlie started popping up.

    There was a cast member of the same name, and Charlie didn’t seem to like this; all the posters when we arrived one day had his name painted over. Everyone thought it was a harmless prank, even though we had to make more posters. But me and Charlie (the cast member) did some research. Other occurs nces followed, resulting in the eventual resignation of Charlie the Cast Member.
