Fort Brooke Parking Garage

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Fort Brooke Parking Garage

Built in 1980, this municipal parking garage was built over a cemetery. The bones unearthed during the construction were deemed to be the remains of soldiers and Native Americans. Although the bones were removed and properly placed, some say they have heard the ghostly sounds of Native Americans drumming and chanting, and strange shadow figures have been witnessed in the structure.

  1. I know I heard today at little river canyon a Indian flute n a felling of sadness an happiness. An a felling I was safe an protected n that I can live there without harm

  2. Fort Brooke was also the site of a military encampment in the 1840s. No personal experience there, but this may lend to some of the other weird stuff there.

  3. Funny story, I live in riverview, maybe 10-15 minutes from Tampa by car. My family bought a house on the alafia river. My parents have several stories of the previous house supposedly being haunted but I was too young to remember. However, on occasional nights, I swear I can hear an Indian drum circle. A friend on mines dad has also grown up here and has found arrowheads and even a Native American skull under the 301 bridge.

  4. I work I. Fort brooke garage every single night cleaning.. have never heard or felt anything at all ever. Just saying. It’s not because I’m not open to it. I just dont get it there…
