Empress Theatre

The 1912 Empress Theatre, fully renovated in 1982, puts on stage shows, concerts and first-run movies. It’s haunted by a ghost who is believed to be either a former manager, Dan Boyle, or Ed, a former janitor. The janitor theory is the most common, perhaps because apparitions of the man often come with phantom smells of alcohol, tobacco or manure.

  1. My experience in the empress theatre was in the mail bathroom where I seen th janitor closet open and there was a man standing there and it smelt like cigarettes so I immediately ran out of the washroom.

  2. Hello I was in the Yearly Drama Camp For the Empress theater, My Experience Was on Stage
So we were on the stage doing activities acting you know like you do in a drama class at school
then I needed the bath as I was going downstairs to the bathroom I saw a figure at the door I saw the figure and I told the camp teachers I had to go home I did’nt ever go there ever again

  3. I was watching Dark Phoenix on 7/12 /19
When I felt welts in both my wrists I began rubbing them and then I got my phone and looked I had three scratches on both sides of my wrist s plus welts. I showed them to my husband who also looked at them
I then moved away from that seat and by the end of the movie they had faded
    I definitely felt a presence
