One night, police were called about a ghostly woman in white who appeared in an elevator at a parking garage. Earlier, witnesses had been confused as to why the elevator kept going up and down with no one inside it. But when the white figure showed up in the glass elevator, located just outside Coronado Theatre, people realized the figure resembled the ghostly woman in white who has also been seen at the Coronado. Later, authorities said the elevator was being tested remotely by a contracting company.

We have investigated the Coronado Theatre two times and had interesting personal experiences each time. We can’t wait to get back to see what other data we can gather.
I worked at Coronado when it was owned by kerosotos theatre.. popcorn and storage was in a room off of the women’s bathroom, we would make huge bags n being them up. . You would feel a presence every time. Also this led to the dressing rooms and on the way the underground tunnels which led thru diffrent locations in rkfd. during prohsbition.. at the end of the evening we would go thru shutting off lights individually starting with the office in the balcony level finishing with the lower. . We would here for steps behind us and people whispering or humming, as we reached the front door with bank deposit in hand tge lights would come back on.. one night we made 3 trips doing this the last time we left them on locked up and left.
On occassion we witnessed someone in the projection both when noone else was there. .I have many stories about the Coronado. . Yes I believe it’s haunted. And personally I wish they would have left it in its original form, yes structural changes need to be updated I understand but this building is definetly part of our history and I consider historic. .
I wasn’t investigating here but I’ve been here for a play and I never noticed any paranormal activity before, during, or after the show.
I have grown up around the coranado as a true rockfordian.. only but a handful of times had i experienced anything “odd” mainly electrical malfunctions and things. The very last time i had been inside it, was for the all city music festival.. beside an unsual tugging sensation on my pant leg as i waited to hear the show starting.. nothing happened
