Carriage Way Bed and Breakfast - St. Augustine, FL

We stayed the night at this B&B in 2012. It was 2:23 A.M. and started hearing a party going on in the common area. We could hear glasses clinking, people talking and laughing, old dance music from the 1800's playing. My friend Wednesday, that is her real name, went into the restroom and kept saying I'll be right out. I thought she was just scared and talking to make sure I was still there. When she came out of the bathroom she said wow you must really have to use the bathroom. I ask her what she was talking about and she said I kept telling her to hurry up. I had not said anything and I wasn't even near the bathroom. I then went into the bathroom and heard her saying to hurry up, I heard her bang on the bathroom door and heard whispering like someone was in the room with me. I opened the door and ask her if she had been banging on the door or told me to hurry up? She said she had just been standing there waiting because she was scared at this point. We ran to our room and pulled the blankets over our heads and waited for the sun to come up and we left. We haven't been back since. (Submitted by Lisa B)

My husband and I stayed there maybe 3 years ago. It was in the big “room” almost little house beside the actual building. All night I felt absolutely terrified! I never saw anything specific, but I “felt” something very very I dunno, scary. I heard a few things in the kitchen that was in it move. And I felt cold even though I was definately bundled up in the bed. I felt like somehow being bundled up really tightly would keep me “safe”. I was absolutely scouted up next to my husband with my back to the side of the bed. All night I kept waking my husband up. Over and over and over again. I kept telling him I felt like someone was there. I kept looking at the clock begging for it to move faster and bring sunlight back into the room. I know that at 12:30am, 1am, 2am, 3am, I was freaked out beyond belief. So much so, that when daylight did come, I got my husband up and told him I could not stay the next night there. He packed us up quickly, and we left. I don’t even think we told told the owners we were leaving. My husband says we left the keys in there, and just left. Even though we had paid for two nights. I have never had an experience like that before. Neither good or bad. I just know that I felt a presence in the room. And it was not welcoming. I’m doing research on the internet to see if anyone else has experienced this there? I would really like to know.
