In 1981 a fire broke out in the Carolina Theatre while it was closed and killed a woman. As the woman was not supposed to have been there at the time, it is believed she deliberately set the fire that killed her. People now claim that her ghost continues to haunt the building and expresses itself by moving the seats up and down.

  1. This was at my house in graham .nc. what happened was one night I went downstairs in the laundry room to use the bathroom, when I came out I felt something tap me twice on the shoulder. I looked back and saw a hand, only a hand, I was shocked. I looked forwards, then back again. And there was nothing there. I ran upstairs. And told two of my best friend’s. They believed me. And I was happy. But scared at the same time.

  2. I have been to see shows several times here. I hit cold spots (random cold spots nose running. Goosebumps etc) all the time and then I am back to normal. It’s like I feel like someone is watching me as well. I believe something is haunted about this theatre for sure.
