This cabin is over 200 years old. The cabin seems to be occupied by the ghost of a woman.

The number of paranormal events are too numerous to mention, but here are a couple:

One family decided to go by a fast food restaurant to get dinner, as the kitchen and table were apparently messy. They went to bed, and the next morning, they found the table to be set complete with plates, utinsels, and even napkins.

Another family reported that the original wood latch door was standing open upon their arrival. They then went to dinner that evening and returned to find the wood door wide open again.

The next day, they went on a daylong trip to Cade’s Cove, and made certain that, upon departure, the door was completely shut, latched, and locked. Upon their return the door was again standing open!

There is an old goat cart in the living room that has pillows and blankets in it: several guests have reported it in a different part of the living room upon awakening in the morning.

    • The cabin was indeed lost in the Great Gatlinburg fire of 2016. Nothing survived except the chimney. Two years later, a replacement cabin, River Song, was completed. Through 3 years, there have been no reports of paranormal activity. Although the bears sure seem to like it!

  1. I like seeing how individuals decorate their houses for the holidays. During the Gatlinburg wildfires in November 2016, this building was destroyed.
