Bellevue Hall
Wilmington, DE · Historical Buildings
This home in the Bellevue State Park is reportedly home to several spirits. Staff says the second and third floors, which are closed to the public, are especially haunted. Here, spirits tinker with the electricity, move chairs, and can be heard laughing and screaming.

Having been to this location many times, I have my fair share of being creeped out. I've always been scared of the building, like something malicious is in there. Yet it's the guardhouse where my experience was. I waswalking around, and peered into a guardhouse. It wasn't windy, yet as I looked in a rocking chair started to rock gently. It jerked into motion, it didn't sway, which is how I know it was paranormal.

I have lived in Delaware all my life and Bellvue state park is a popular location. Its a nice place to spend the day. Ive only had one experience there at the mansion. While walking toward the building to get to Philadelphia Pike. The lights on the 3rd floor in two of the room on the front side of the building were flickering on and off. My girlfriend and i at the time dismissed it to some idiot playing with the lights. Upon going to work several days later a xoworker had a book of hauntings is Delaware. I didnt know until then that what we witnessed was something paranormal. This was in the 1990's. But trust me, when your near the building or looking in through the windows. Its an ominous feeling.
