  1. We live on the Japser county side. My mother says a man that worked for my grandfather drowned behind the bar. He likec to gamble and had won a large sum the night he died. When he was found he had no money. He had also been given a hogs head in a cast iron kettle. The kettle was not found when the hooked the bayou to find him. It was believed he was killed for his money. This happened in the 50’s.
