Bamburgh Beach

You are here Home  > Miscellaneous >  Bamburgh Beach

Witches used to live in the dunes and would sacrifice people for Satanic rituals. Other people have died violently here through other means, and a burial site was even uncovered. While Roman Polanski was filming Macbeth here, many extras were shocked to see hands coming out of the sand… And further shocked to learn it wasn’t part of the special effects. People feel like they are being followed and sometimes see shadows.

  1. I have not heard of this story but I am surprised that no one has ever mentioned the Gray Lady of Beadnell.
She has been seen and felt in many places there by people I have known from when I spent every weekend there as a child.
Room 18 of Beadnell House hotel is haunted, my own sister had an experiance of that when she had a weekend job as a maid in the 70s.
Also, it was said that the house on the right side of the road leading to Seahouses is haunted, my brothers friend was walking from Seahouses to Beadnell one night in the 70s and saw a white misty figure come out of it.
Also, when that same road was being built, it was said that about 18 skeltons were found all facing north.
I have scanned the internet and books but there has never been any mention of these things, which surprises me as they are well known.
