Thomas Jefferson is among the ghosts said to haunt here; at least seven spirits are reported. Some manifest as apparitions, some ectoplasm, and some as poltergeist pranks. U.S. Founding Father Jefferson, witnesses say, likes to appear in the dining room, near a tall clock. There is also a cursed chair at this site; those who sit in it are said to die shortly thereafter.
