The 1800s building that houses this restaurant and pub is haunted by a spirit folks call George. George tinkers with the lights, moves dishes around, and even uses the restroom, including latching the stall door and flushing the toilet. Some witnesses have even seen George’s apparition.

I went to Andy Gavin’s with my dad for dinner one evening, and we sat in the coldest of cold spots for over 45 minutes. I could nearly see my breath, and had to wear my winter coat to stay warm. However, when I looked around, I didn’t see any other people wearing jackets or shivering like I was. Call it what you want, but it freaked me out a bit!

My wife saw George in the ladies room and took pictures with her I phone. He really exists
I used to live in a house that was split into two homes. Not sure if it’s the same one but I do know the name George. I was really young at the time. Me, my 2 brothers and sister found a Ouija board hidden in the attic wall. We got rid of it too. But George did show himself to me and was always friendly except one time when we had a girl named Kelly living with us. He didn’t like her and showed it by throwing a cross I made off the wall right at her as she was coming from the attic. If this is the same one then you don’t need to worry too much unless George don’t like a particular person.
We attended Marywood and rented the apartment upstairs …. I remember the bed I had at the top of the stairs on the right hand side …it was a rod iron white bed that looked like a hospital bed. It would shake so hard in the night I would wake up. The other girls have memories also …it was the best apartment in town and we did have so much fun but there were those nights when you could feel something in the air. I remember one time we came home and someone took the cassette tape and pulled it all apart into all of the different rooms ..there was a double parlor … I am sure there are many more stories…I would love to hear more!!!
